Overview of Scholarship in U.P(Uttar Pradesh)
The Social Welfare Department of Uttar Pradesh releases the link for applying for a scholarship. Earlier the department released the link for the year 2022 – 2023 for the Dashmottar scheme application. Thus, any candidate who has taken the admission for the certificate, degree, diploma, or other courses in any college, institute, or university of Uttar Pradesh and wants to apply for a scheme can apply online from 08 July 2022.

About Scheme for 2022-23
The UP Scholarship Scheme is an ambitious initiative of the state government to provide financial assistance to students before and after completion of their compulsory matriculation. Thus, the Govt. is doing this through the SAKSHAM online portal.
On the other hand, students attending institutions and colleges within the state (and sometimes outside the state) can apply for the scheme. The state of Uttar Pradesh Govt. has established several tiers of scholarships to ensure that students from different socio-economic backgrounds can fully participate in the program. The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Shri. Yogi Adityanath recently made a statement that by the end of the academic year (2022) government scholarships will be made available to tribal community students and others.
Thus, till June 30, 2022, applications will be accepted from all recognized institutions in the state. The official registration in each school will be checked by the District Infrastructure Officer/School Inspector between the 15th of June and the 15th of July. Thereafter, the scholarship funds will be deposited electronically into the recipients’ savings accounts. Till the beginning of December 2021, 12.17 lakh students were given scholarships. Yogi Adityanath’s administration gave a total of Rs 458.66 crore worth of scholarships.
Date of Application
The online application process will open from 08/07/2022 till 07/11/2022. Thus, the last date to apply for the scholarship is 07th November 2022. Similarly, the last date to submit the hard copies to the college office is 10/11/2022. You can correct the submitted application on or before 20/12/2022.
Eligibility for UP Scholarship
The Uttar Pradesh government has registered the scholarship with many schools, Colleges, other Institutions, and Universities.
- Post-Matric 11: In order to apply for the post-matric 11 scholarship, the candidate must have a pass the class certificate of the 10th Exam and should have enrolled for Class 11.
- Post Matric 12: Here the candidate must be passed from class 11 Exam and be Enrolled in Class 12.
- Dashmottar: This scholarship is for Graduates / Post Graduates / Certificate / Diploma Courses holders.
Besides the above eligibility criteria, income eligibility also needs to be fulfilled to qualify for the scholarship at UP.
