A new web portal has been created by the Ministry of Labor and Employment in India for unorganized workers. Thus, through this portal, the registrations of unorganized labor will be sent to the Central Government and e-shram cards will be made available to all working-class people. Similarly, this is the first such national database of unorganized workers which includes migrant workers, gig and other platform workers are included. Eligibility to apply for E shram Card
The best thing is that the online process of applying for this card is very easy. On the other hand, there are not many conditions to apply for the e shram card. Thus, any worker who is unorganized and aged between 16-59, is eligible to register on the eSHRAM portal.
Which is the unorganized sector?
The unorganized sector includes establishments/units which produce/sell goods/services and employ less than 10 workers. Also, these units are not covered under ESIC and EPFO. Therefore, only such units that meet the above requirements can register on the e shram portal.

How to apply for e shram card online?

Follow the below step-by-step process to apply for the card online.
- Visit the website at https://eshram.gov.in/
- Click on “Register on Eshram”
you can find this link on the right-hand side of the webpage. Also, you can use this link to update the details of your existing card.
- Enter the Aadhar-linked mobile number and other details
Please note that you should not have already registered with EPFO and ESCI to continue with the self-registration. Hence, the send OTP button will work only when you select No to EPFO and ESCI.
- Enter the OTP and click submit
- Fill in the “Aadhar Number” and other details
once you fill in the details, click to accept the terms and conditions and click on submit button.
- Enter your personal details on the next screen
Here you need to fill in your personal details, address, Education qualification, occupation, and bank details.
- Preview the application before Clicking on Submit
Here you will able to see all the details you have entered in the application.
- Click on the “Submit” button
if you think the information you entered is correct then only you to click on submit.
- Enter the ‘OPT’ and Click on verify
Once you click on submit you will receive the OTP to verify.
- Click on “Download UAN card”

As we all know that the database of all the workers of the country is being prepared by the government. So that the benefits of the ongoing beneficial schemes run by the government can be extended to all of them. And in case of an emergency like the Kovid-19 epidemic, help can be provided to them. 1. Visit https://register.eshram.gov.in/#/user/uan-login
2. Enter the details shown in the below picture
3. Click on Generate OTP
4. Enter the new OTP received on your mobile number. And click on “Validate”.
5. Now you will see two options UPDATE PROFILE and DOWNLOAD UAN CARD
6. Click on the “UPDATE PROFILE” button.
7. Now all the information filled by you while filling out the form will open in front of you.
8. Select the option you want to correct.
9. Now make the necessary corrections in the Card details.
10. After making the necessary corrections, click on “Save”.
11. Details will be updated in your e-Shram UAN Card
