If you have a provident fund account and have a query regarding the PF claim status, you can visit the EPF website. Alternatively, you can visit the grievance management website directly.
Once you enter the website, click the icon register grievance.
Here you can apply as a PF member, employer, EPS pensioner, or others. Choose the one that suits you the best. Once you fill out these details, which include a security code and captcha.
After this is done, click on the get details section where you enter details like your full name (as on the Aadhaar number), registered email address, and mobile number.
Once you enter these details, click on the get OTP, which is sent on your registered mobile number.
Once done, you are taken to a section to enter your personal details. Choose your PF account number and then you are taken to a site where you are asked to enter your grievance details. Enter the grievance description in under 5000 characters. Once done, you will be required to upload the supporting documents in PDF format in the maximum size of 1MB as proof of your complaint. Click on ‘Browse’, select the PDF file and click on ‘Attach’.
Once this is done, follow the next set of steps:
- Enter the captcha shown and click on the ‘Submit’ button
- Once your complaint is filed, you will receive a unique registration number to your registered email id
- The EPFO will verify your complaint and forward it to the concerned personnel for resolution
- Additionally, you can track the status of your complaint online using the registration number given to you.
Do note that the grievance details entail mentioning the grievance category and details of grievance. The grievance category includes one of the seven options. The seven categories of grievances include the complaints pertaining to the final settlement /withdrawal of PF, transfer of PF accumulations, scheme certificates, settlement of pension, issue of PF slip/ PF balance, payment of insurance benefit, cheque returned/ misplaced, and others.
