14.12.2022: It looks like the e-invoice portal in GST is having some issues in the system for the last few minutes. The system is throwing the below error after login. However, there is no official update from the GSTN yet on this. however, we expect the portal will be on track very soon.
The e-invoice portal is used to generate online Electronic invoices which have become mandatory from 01st October 2022 for taxpayers whose turnover is more than 10 crores in the previous FY year.
Therefore, it is very much important for the taxpayer to get access to the e-invoice portal most of the time. Simultantely, Govt. should also ensure that the portal downtime should not be more than 1-2% during the month.
