Reverse Charge System suspended till 30.09.2018
The government has issued one notification regarding further exemption of GST paid on reverse charge. Earlier it was extended till 30.06.2018. As per the notification 12/2018-Central Tax (Rate), dt. 29-06-2018, receipt of supplies from unregistered persons is exempted till 30.09.2018. This is applicable for supplies received from Intra-state and inter-state also.
Therefore goods and services or both received from the unregistered person are not liable for payment of tax by the receiver till 30.09.2018. This clarifies that if you are a registered person and received goods or services from an unregistered person then you are not liable for payment of GST till 30.09.2018.
TDS and TCS Deduction suspended till 30.09.2018
TDS And TCS collection are further extended till 30th September 2018. Earlier it was suspended till 30.06.2018.
E Way Bill Changes in Maharashtra
The Government of Maharashtra issued a notification 15E/2018 –State Tax for making changes in E Way bill provisions. As per the said notification, no E WAY BILL is required for intra-state movement of goods where the value of goods is less than or equal to 1 Lakh rupees. This relaxation is applicable only to the state of Maharashtra. Please note this is applicable for the movement of goods within the state of Maharashtra. This is not applicable if you are moving your goods from the state of Maharashtra to other states. If you are moving to other states then you need to generate e way bill for a value exceeding Rs. 50000/-
Secondly, No E Way Bill is required for the movement of Hank, Yarn, fabric, and garments of any value within the state. The only condition is that movement should be within 50 km and the purpose should be for job work only as per section 68 Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017.
